Directions

Take any signed road to Auchenblae from the A90 or the Cairn-o-Mount. We are about 15 mins from Stonehaven. As you near the village follow the NEOS signs directing you to all local venues. Bridgend Studio is at the bottom of the village opposite the road up to the Church and School.

Artist statement

I paint bold graphic images of boats, bothys, lighthouses, trees and coastlines. Working with acrylics and inks I aim for balance of colour and composition, creating peaceful, reflective paintings. I also write poetry to accompany some of my work. Welcoming visitors to Bridgend Studio is always a joy.

Extended Bio

My degree training in design has underpinned the paintings I create. I have exhibited throughout the UK for over 35 years. Three years living in Denmark has influenced the clean lines and simplicity in my work whilst tutoring art has cemented my love of drawing, which is the bedrock of everything I create.
