Directions

From Banchory, 2 miles along the A93 towards Aberdeen, The Milton of Crathes is 100m before the main entrance to Crathes Castle on the right hand side. From the Aberdeen direction, follow the A93 towards Banchory. 100m beyond Crathes Castle main entrance on the left hand side. Follow signs from car park to the Gallery.

Artist statement

Spending as much time as possible in the landscape of Deeside and the Aberdeenshire coast, documenting the wildlife and light to be found and returning to the studio with these primary observations to be worked up into bigger pieces. As such I will be showing field sketches, gallery pieces and demonstrating at the easel throughout NEOS 2024.

Extended Bio

Member of the Society of Wildlife Artists and the Artists for Nature Foundation. Previous winner of the Bird Artist of the Year. Award winner at the PasteL Society exhibition and the Exhibition of Wildlife Art. Author and illustrator of two books. Work in a number of other published books and magazines, including articles for The Artist magazine and The Pastel Journal. An experienced tutor, teaching weekly classes, providing workshops on a number of themes, leading and guiding art/wildlife holidays.
