Artist statement

I'm fascinated by Scotland's myths and legends, so when I started my sculpting journey it wasn't surprising that magical creatures were involved! I sculpt fairies from galvanised and stainless-steel wire. I also sculpt creatures associated with magic, such as owls, robins and moon gazing hares. All suitable for home and garden.

Extended Bio

I started sculpting with wire over 10 years ago when I lived in Sweden. At first the sculptures were very basic but over the years I have refined them to what you see now. I love taking chicken wire, such a mundane material and turning it into something magical. I mainly create fairies, but I also sculpt animals and birds that have magic associated with them such as owls and hares. I also make fairy wands and barbed wire hearts! Currently, I’m working on a series of different styles of fairies. Once a month I meet up with fellow creatives at the Cabrach trust, Acorn Centre, where I will be exhibiting with Morag Tweedie who works in mixed media.
