Artist statement

My paintings capture the character and vibrant colours of a landscape. Always cheerful and full of fun.

I love working in all kinds of media. Acrylic on canvas. Pastel on grounds. Mixing it all together with charcoal pencil, watercolour and gouache. On a sunny day I love to get out with my easel 'en plein air'...

Extended Bio

I grew up dreaming of being a wildlife artist and children’s book illustrator. I have been lucky to forge a career as a creative, illustrating, animating and painting. I now live in Cullen on the North Coast of Scotland, inspired by the wildlife and beautiful surroundings. If I'm not in my studio, you may see me down by the harbour sketching the fishing boats, at the beach trying to capture a turnstone scrambling over the rockpools or at my easel doing a watercolour sketch.
