Artist statement

I'm predominantly a landscape artist but have ventured into still life and figurative paintings. I paint mainly in oil and have small and large original paintings, as well as prints and cards.

This year exhibiting alongside Judith Glennie and Carrie Fertig in Stonehaven. Although you can make an appointment to visit my home studio in Alford at other times.

Extended Bio

I like to paint in a realistic way but while showing Scotland in it's best light. Growing up in the South side of Glasgow, I was fortunate to attend classes at the Glasgow School of Art from the age of 15. When I left school, I started studying as a full-time Fine Art student there but it was a mistake. The pressure took the joy out of painting. Fast forward 20 years and I found I was stuck at home with three dependent children. It was time to pick up the paint brushes again. That was 9 years ago now. I love to chat and meet knew people so please come along and say hi. Come see my process and how I work.
