Artist statement
Tracey Johnston is a painter, printmaker and illustrator living and working in Aberdeen. Her work explores the still life, intimate interiors, and places of safety and sanctuary. Her work is held in private and public collections throughout the Uk and abroad, including Aberdeen Art Gallery.
Extended Bio
Tracey Johnston is a painter, printmaker and illustrator living and working in Aberdeen. Tracey studied Printmaking and Painting at Gray's School of Art and is a John Kinross Scholar travelling to Italy. Her work explores the still life, intimate interiors, and places of safety and sanctuary. She is influenced by the ancient technique of fresco painting and this can be seen in the delicate surfaces she creates. Her work is held in private and public collections throughout the Uk and abroad, including locally Aberdeen Art Gallery.
