Take the number 19 bus going to Peterculter or any Banchory bus, and hop off at the stop at the centre of the village after the village hall. Lava Jewellery Design is between the vets and the bridal shop, you’ll find me there.

Artist statement
Born and brought up in Shetland, I was taught fair isle and lace knitting in primary school.
I have developed fair isle patterns for hats, cowls and gloves for my second NEOS show.
Feel free to bring along your knitting projects to show me.
Extended Bio
I grew up surrounded by knitting, my dad used to machine knit jumpers whilst my mum would hand finish them and add in the traditional fair isle yoke.
This was a source of additional income for our family. Knitting was taught in the primary school and was part of our heritage.
