Artist statement
Returning to NEOS after 14 yrs. I am a landscape painter of oils on canvas. Recent work depicts old trees and granite stones found in the woods surrounding Bennachie, focusing on the play of form and light. I spent 10 years walking and painting the Moray coast. Like many, I work from a series of temporary, borrowed spaces, painting outside and in the studio.
