Artist statement

My work is inspired by the Northeast of Scotland. I aim to capture the unique sense of space and place that is hame, and the landscape which gives me a voice as an artist. I work in acrylic but also do a little printmaking. My much-loved brick studio, a stone's throw from the spectacular Bow Fiddle Rock, always delights visitors so be sure to visit.

Extended Bio

This will be my 3rd year of participating in NEOS and I'm really looking forward to welcoming visitors, old and new, to my studio in the picturesque village of Portknockie. I will have a whole new collection of work for visitors to view and chat about. Original pieces as well as prints, cards and bookmarks are available to buy as well as gift vouchers. I love chatting to people about my work and the techniques I use so NEOS is such a great time of year for me personally. I'm happy to have visitors throughout the year but I will need advance notice as its a working studio outside NEOS so won't have as much work displayed.
