Artist statement

My images are built in layers using mainly gelli printed organza and needle felting to create depth to the background before I add layers of textures for the final image. These textures can include appliquéd 'stones' and 'pebbles', hand and machine embroidery and natural found objects. I also experiment with different ideas and a 'what if' approach.
