At Bennachie Bonsai I work with living trees, merging natural processes with artistic creativity. Inspired by Far East travels, my work values nature’s intricate beauty, showcasing each locally grown trees’ journey from seed to splendour. Since I missed 2023, I have brought together an eclectic mix of subjects in my intense realism style. I have people, birds, animals, places and my lovely automotive machines all of which  I hope you will find interesting. Inspiration comes from everywhere, so please pop in and tell me what you think.

Pattern, rhythm, colour, texture and layers keep pulling me back into this life’s long dance of paint. Here in the venerable surroundings of Blervie, I share with you my joyful response to the beauty of earth, sky and water and spiritual energies within that gives life to us all.

I have a large amount of work on display which are landscape, still life, seascapes, portraits and mixed media/natural form wall hangings. My work is inspired by my travels abroad and the beauty of the Scotland.

My art sits at the intersection of technology and humanity: Where artificial, coded, rigid graphics meet the natural, free unpredictable human form. Through a combination of drawing, painting and digital art, I explore the blurred boundaries between chaos and control, the cerebral and the physical… where is human innovation taking us?

I enjoy working in many mediums, but especially love working with fabric and painting with watercolours. My art is often landscapes, both real and imaginary. Sometimes the fabrics maybe dyed, painted and stitched to get the effects I want. Exhibiting with Lorna Watson and Margie Trewin. A warm welcome awaits.
