This year I will be showing my latest work throughout Triangle Croft Gallery, overlooking the Moray coast. I look forward to sharing my fascination for the hidden image in the ever-changing coastal landscape. The venue is shared with Jamie Fergusson painting and Alan Baillie silversmith.

As usual I am working in oils and use landscapes, seascapes, still life etc as my main inspiration. I exhibit successfully in the North east My studio has ample parking and I welcome dogs. My venue lies in the beautiful Cabrach area, surrounded by stunning landscapes. My personal inspiration, comes from the shapes, pattern, colour & texture found in such environments. Working on a range of surfaces and using collage, print, fine-art and textile techniques I build layers, to convey imagery, composition and atmosphere of the natural landscape.

As a member of The Society of Wildlife Artists my focus is always the Natural World, either studies of the birds and mammals themselves or in the wider context of habitats and landscape. Many of these studies are made on site and I will be showing these alongside studio pieces inspired by those primary observations.

Lorna of Threid Stitches is a contemporary embroidery artist who creates hand stitched hoop art from her home studio in Aberdeenshire  Lorna’s embroidery art is inspired by Scotland’s dramatic terrain and through varying textured fibres with bold colours, she creates impactful 3D works of art that gives a one of a kind look at our landscape 

Val brings memories and writings from coastal visits into the studio, creating textured and contemporary paintings. Layering oil paint and cold wax then scratching and marking the surface, her work explores weather, resilience and fragility, reflecting a deep emotional response to the coast and sea.
