Artist statement
My stoneware cups, bowls and vessels being used every day is important to me. Layers of glaze and slips including local wild clay decorate pots inspired by the land, sea and sky.
Extended Bio
Pots and making in a variety of media have been a constant in my life.More recently I came back to pottery.Japanese,Korean and British studio pottery are major influences.I make mainly functional stoneware pots.Layers of glaze and slip are a key theme in my work which includes wild clay I find locally.I continue to experiment with this.My work grows from my connection to the landscape,sea and sky.
