Artist statement

Inspired by colours in the sky, on rusted metal and in nature. I paint, dye, stitch, cut and heat to create my mixed media textile artworks and Aberdeenshire gives me endless inspiration. I will be displaying original art, cards, unique jewellery and prints and my latest work incorporating discarded fishing ropes collected from the beach.

Extended Bio

Born in Derbyshire and now living in Aberdeenshire, I am an artist, creative practitioner and teacher of Art & Design. I create unique, tactile artworks that combine painting and stitching in response to my photographs of skies, beaches, reflections on water and anything else that inspires me. I love the outdoors and this is where I find most of my inspiration. My artwork collections include subjects such as sunrises and sunsets, water, beaches, rusted metal, travel and florals. I produce wall art; original art cards, prints, textile jewellery and I have a range of interior accessories with my artworks printed on them.
