Artist statement
My work is rooted in the landscape of the North East. Observational drawing has become increasingly important in my practice and as a result, my drawings and paintings have moved away from abstraction. I have been experimenting with combinations of materials on a range of surfaces and returning to the simple, sensory joy of mark making.
Extended Bio
I graduated from Gray's School of Art with a BA (hons) in Painting in 2018. Since then I have been working as an art educator, running my children's art club and teaching adults while continuing with my own practice.
