Artist statement
I am really happy to be back to NEOS this year with the new display area where I will be showing my jewellery. I would like you to visit and and enjoy my original, unique creations. I work mainly in silver, using different techniques and incorporating different gemstones. Big part of my this year's collection is amber jewellery.
Extended Bio
My jewellery started from my fascination of Irish crocheted lace. After some months of making lace elements from thread, I realised that using a thin wire could give even more interesting results.I work with silver filled, sterling silver, fine silver, gold filled and copper wire in different techniques: crocheting, kumihimo, wirewrapping, tangling, soldering. I like to create sculptural wire jewellery with gemstone and crystals and I like to incorporate also other materials like wood, sea glass, ceramics, paper, metal mesh.
All my jewellery is handmade and very unique, mostly made in only one piece. Any design could be repeated but will not be identical.
