Artist statement

I am a spinner, knitter and occasional natural dyer, working with natural sheep fleeces and prepared tops. I love the traditional process of hand-spinning on my wheel, creating beautiful wool. I will be demonstrating hand-spinning at Woolly Woolly, where there will be skeins of hand-spun yarn for sale, and examples of my knitted work.

As well as my love for hand-spinning wool, I am fascinated by the endless creativity of hand knitting. From fine Shetland lace, to textured traditional Aran, to the inspiring colour work of Fair Isle, we have an amazing knitted heritage.
