Artist statement

Drawing inspiration from the Highlands and Islands, Lisa aims to capture the beauty of our surroundings focusing strongly on colour and texture.Working only in oils, she uses thin layers of paint to gradually create depth and definition with a particular interest in tidal marks and water reflections; striving to capture a sense of calm within her pieces.
