Directions

On B970 heading from Boat of Garten towards Nethy Bridge, take turn on right Loch Garten, Tulloch and Tulloch Moor, pass loch Garten on right after half a mile turn right signed Tulloch and Tulloch Moor. After approx one mile take track on right clearly posted with blue Juniper Brae sign, follow track to left fork follow signs.

Artist statement

Ian Williams BA(Hons) pots, paints, sculpts and writes. Ian completed a Fine Arts Degree in 2001 concentrating on ceramics and glass. Relocating to the Isle of Skye in 2002 he and his wife Gill set up a gallery which they ran until relocating to the Cairngorms at the end of 2023. Now in their Abernethy Forest home they both continue to create artwork.

Extended Bio

Following a successful career within the Police force Ian was forced to retire in 1997 following a serious physical assault. After three years Ian began a Fine Arts degree in High Wycombe which he completed three years later with a first class degree with honours. Ian relocated to the Isle of Skye where he set up his pottery studio and gallery, he was part of the arts and crafts groups until he and his artist wife Gill relocated to the Cairngorms national park in December 2023. Both Ian and his wife continue to create in their studios at their new home.
