As a watercolour artist I find painting endlessly exciting and challenging. My loose style is inspired by the form and moods of nature, with the subject and the paint directing the process.
I love that watercolour is an unpredictable mix of water and paint, colours merging on the page and light reflecting from the paper making the paintings glow with life.
Extended Bio
I have discovered watercolour painting later in life and was persuaded to take it up by the gift of paint and paper from a friend who was fed up of hearing that 'I must try painting sometime'. For the past three years I have become completely immersed in the process of learning and developing watercolour skills.
I try to paint every day and don't worry about the paintings that don't work concentrating instead on what I learn from each attempt.
Over the last year I have begun to sell some of my work and am always happy to be contacted by anyone wanting to arrange a visit to see my paintings.
