Artist statement
At Doric Skateboards our aim was to create a skateboard/clothing brand that myself and Aberdeen and NE of Scotland could be proud of.
As of Jan 2024 we are based in a Studio space at 35 Mid Stocket Road continuing to screen print as many new designs and collaborations as possible - all influenced by life in the NE of Scotland.!
Extended Bio
At Doric Skateboards our aim is to create a skateboard brand that we can be proud of.
Our main focus will be on exploring the people and culture of Aberdeen and the North East to create designs that reflect life here.
We also look forward to collaborating with the local creative community to give a broader snap shot of other viewpoints on what Aberdeen means to them.
Further to this we want to bring a sense of community to Doric Skateboards. We think this can be achieved by encouraging people to get together at events - old, young, good, bad and in the middle!
Something that is very important is that we screen print our own graphics at our studio as much as possible.
Wherever possible every item will be individually folded/bagged/tagged up and ready to go by us at home.
Our new Studio space at 35 Mid Stocket Road will enable us to grow, experiment and perhaps open up to workshops in the future.
