Artist statement
Attic studio: over 100 framed and unframed paintings, cards and small gifts on show. Inspiration comes from my daily walks along the shore with all the beauty of changing light, colour and weather. I also paint woodland and landscapes in my workroom. Peterhead is hosting Seafest on Sat. 13th at the nearby harbour, another reason to visit the town.
Extended Bio
I have been a painter of the natural environment for over 20 years. Living by the sea, my paintings are often of the coast. I also enjoy painting the trees and forests of Deeside and local woods. I paint on canvas, wooden panels and paper using acrylic, ink, charcoal and mixed media. I have a large selection of framed and unframed paintings in a variety of sizes up to one metre. I am a member of Aberdeen Artists Society and Visual Arts Scotland and have shown my work in several galleries in the north east and sometimes in Edinburgh in their exhibitions. I was delighted to get a mention in the Times Newspaper's review of the VAS annual exhibition last year. I also exhibit in private galleries throughout the north east.
