Born and brought up in Shetland, I was taught fair isle and lace knitting in primary school. I have developed fair isle patterns for hats, cowls and gloves for my second NEOS show. Feel free to bring along your knitting projects to show me.

I draw inspiration from the stunning landscape of the North East, seeking to capture the way light dances on a wave or the striking contrast between light and shadow fin the trees. Each piece I create is unique and my work is ever -evolving, reflecting the constant change in nature and in my artistic journey.

I paint the Scottish land and seascape in a contemporary semi-abstract style. I use a variety of media particularly acrylic paints and inks. The seasons, shifting light and ever-changing weather, especially in the north east of Scotland, are my source of inspiration.
