My work is an uplifting exploration and celebration of colour and the beauty of flowers. My goal is simply to bring joy and vibrancy into everyday life, as well as being a personal creative therapy. As a textile designer, I have always been drawn to the textures, patterns and vibrant hues found in the natural world, especially flowers. With their endless variety of forms and colours, they serve as a constant source of inspiration for my creative practice. I explore florals across multiple mediums in both decorative and practical forms, from drawing and painting to printing and crafting functional pieces like cushions and tote bags. I am always exploring new ways to express my passion for florals and more recently have been creating ever-lasting, beautiful blooms from colourful felt, which I will be creating/demonstrating alongside my work throughout NEOS. I am sharing The Clay Half Venue with its owner, Irene Hughes (Pottery), and Sam Wyness (Potter).
